the boring bit (t&c's)

1.This contract does not take effect until we have received and accepted a completed booking form and a deposit. The hire charge is payable on the day by cash or credit/debit card from the hirer who must be over the age of 25.

2. A security deposit of  up to £150 is payable in cash, credit or debit card at the time of hire and provided that the boat and its equipment is returned without loss or damage and the craft has not been involved in any accident, the deposit will be returned in full. In addition, we reserve the right to charge an additional security deposit for all single sex crews.

3. The boat should be returned at the agreed time in a clean and tidy condition. A charge of up to £30 per hour or part will be charged for late return unless alternative arrangements have been made beforehand.

4. All Aboard Boating reserve the right to decline to accept a booking or refuse to hand over a boat to any person who in our opinion is not suitable to take charge (particularly through alcohol or drug abuse) or unsuitable to safely navigate the boat. In such cases any monies received will be refunded and the contract discharged without any further liability to either party. We reserve the right to repossess the boat at any time where an accident or damage has occurred or where the boat is found to have more passengers aboard than have been specified on the booking form. In such cases we shall not be liable to make a refund of any part of the hire charges.

5. We shall not be responsible for the consequence of delays or restrictions to cruising arising from obstructions, damage or repair to the navigation and associated structures, shortage of water ,flooding, shortage or rationing of fuel or other causes beyond our control and we reserve the right to restrict movements of boats in the event of hazardous conditions.

6.  You may not take aboard without our approval portable heating, lighting or electrical equipment, gas cylinder or barbecue, or anything that may cause a danger to the boat, its occupants or equipment. You are responsible for your own belongings, we can not replace items lost.

7. Injury or damage. We are not liable for death, personal injury, loss or damage to your property including any motor vehicles left, or that of any passenger in the hire party.

8.  The boats are checked before each hiring. Should your craft suffer mechanical brake down please notify us as quickly as possible so that repairs can be carried out with minimum delay. We shall not be liable for any consequential loss or damage that you may suffer as a result of such.

9. Accidents. The boat is insured but you have charge of the boat and are fully responsible for its safe navigation and are liable in the event of a claim to pay the first £500 excess. No minor may control the boat without the supervision of an experienced adult. In the event of any accident involving the boat or any craft / injury to any third party or their property it is your responsibility to establish the name of any boat involved together with the names and addresses of the owner and or hirer, and report these facts to us as soon as possible with full details of the accident and damage. You should not under any circumstances accept any responsibility on behalf of the company. No repairs may be carried out without our consent.

10. You should not attempt to tow other craft, cruise after dark or take part in any race. the boats are restricted to 5 knots, you should navigate with caution at all times observing the speed restrictions and relevant bylaws and instructions

11. Hire times are between 7am to 9pm  (by prior arrangement and dependent on day light)

12. Buoyancy aides are supplied free of charge. They must be worn by children under 12 at all times whilst aboard and boarding the boat, the captain is responsible for this

13. .the captain is not to consume excessive amount of alcohol whilst responsible for the boat.
